Breed's Hill in Charlestown was the primary focus of combat in the misleadingly battle called Bunker Hill. Some 2,300 troops finally cleared the fort but at a major cost of 40 percent of their assault force. Overall it was more of a moral win for the patriots.Added to timeline:
