Description:
The Mexican side had 650 people led by Domingo Ugartchea. The Texan side consisted of all volunteers, and they were led by James Fannin and Jim Bowie. The Texan army ran into the Mexican army on their way to Mission Concepcion. Only 1 Texan died, but 14 to 76 Mexican soldiers died. The battle ended with a Texan victory. The battle is known as the first major engagement of the Texas Revolution.
