nov 8, 2004 - Assault on Fallujah
Description:
On November 8th 2004 at 7pm the Iraq and US armies mounted an assault on the city of Fallujah. The reason was to drive out Al Qaeda linked militants from the city. Their plan was to attack in the dark and take the city by surprise. They quickly took the city, and spent the next two days searching the city. Two days later they found the house used to behead American Nicholas Berg. Some major military commanders were able to escape the city before the assault. (thedailybeast.com)
