In Ur there was a normal person. His name was Abraham. His life was usual. He was not rich or poor. Once, a very special day occured in his life. God spoke to him. God said that he and his family has to go to Canaan. In Canaan God and Abraham made a covenant. That is why it was the promised land there. Abracham went there with his descendants.
