Description:

This was Diem's idea of moving peasants to camps to look after them because he wanted them to stop supplying the Vietcong with food and resources but all it did was make the peasants more angry with the government so they rebelled against Diem. it was a plan by the governments of South Vietnam and the United States during the Vietnam War to combat the communist insurgency by pacifying the countryside and reducing the influence of the communists among the rural population.
