apr 1, 1933 - Boycott Day.

Description:

On April 1, 1933, a boycott day took place, in which thugs of thugs, Haas men, raided Jewish businesses, sabotaged equipment and merchandise, ransacked Jewish neighborhoods and beat Jews. The boycott was headed by Julius Streicher, overseen by Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister. Guards of the SS stood at the door of Jewish shops, preventing a German audience from entering. Anti-Semitic propaganda material was circulated, which ordered to continue the economic boycott of the Jews. Boycott Day was the first significant step against Jews in Nazi Germany.
The boycott had several goals in terms of Germany's domestic policy. One of the goals was to stamp the Nazi seal among the entire German population, so that the ideology would reach all levels of the public and be seen as "creating a new order". They did this with the help of a common denominator - the hatred of the Jews. The boycott day was also used as a means of bringing the bourgeois class to Nazi ideology, by way of harming the Jews in the same sector. Many Jews in Germany made a living by trade, and the economic boycott was to collapse the entire Jewish community.
The purpose of the Nazis at this time was to cause social isolation of the Jews and to force them to emigrate from Germany, thus allowing the non-Jewish German bourgeoisie to develop economically instead of the Jews. Other objectives of the boycott were the unification of the German press and its transformation into anti-Semitism, as well as the unification of the Nazi party and the examination of the party's organization and operation. There were extremists who called for immediate action, and Hitler feared that anarchy would be seized by the party and therefore found it appropriate to channel anger towards the Jews.
