sep 1, 1939 - Germany invades Poland.
Description:
Nazi ideology saw itself as aiming to conquer territories in Europe and apply the "new order" to them. According to the Nazi vision, the German state itself would expand eastward toward Poland and the Soviet Union to allow Lebensraum living space for the German people. After Adolf Hitler's rise to power in Germany, he focused on establishing his rule and portraying Germany as a peaceful country. On January 26, 1934, Germany signed with Poland a non-attack agreement for a ten-year period. But he violated the agreement signed in 1934 and set out to conquer Poland on September 1, 1939.
