jan 1, 1786 - Navigation Acts

Description:

This made it impossible for other countries to profit from trade with England or Scotland. The Navigation Acts required that all goods shipped to the countries be controlled by England. This meant that not only the ship but the crew had to be English. It also gave them complete grasp on the trade market.
