According to the Hebrew Bible Moses was also told by god to lead Israelites out of Egypt to be freed. Moses asked the pharaoh, but the pharaoh refused. However, many disasters happened in Egypt, and the pharaoh had no choice, but to release Israelites. Moses leaded Jews for 40 years!
