Life in France had become too dire for peasants at this time due to issues with famine and the government. A bloody revolution began and many were executed, but no famine was resolved. This was heavily influenced by the past successful American Revolution. The Guillotine was also created during this time, which happened to be extensively used during the French Revolution and after it.
