jan 24, 1502 - Truce of Perptual Peace
Description:
James IV initially wanted war with England, which with the pending war on France and treaty between them, would have meant a war on two fronts. Securing the peace treaty meant Henry was safe from double attack; the marriage cemented this and in 1502 the first major allegiance was made with Scotland since 1328. It became a peace treaty after Warbeck’s execution and completed in 1503.
