Description:
Sir Edward Grey (British Foreign Secretary), told the German ambassador that he did not promise to aid France or Russia in the war but as time goes on, France, Russia and Britain formed a friendship with the ‘Triple Entente’. Grey knew about Germany supporting Austria-Hungary so he hinted towards Germany about his collaboration (with France and Britan's military). He explained to the German ambassador that he could not stand by if the war escalated since ethe public would not approve.
