Description:

In late October, 200 000 Chinese troops had joined the war and pushed the UN forces back to the southern side of the 38th parallel by November.
The US had underestimated the forces of the Chinese. They were strongly committed to communism and and had been taught to hate Americans. They had also been supplied with modern tanks and planes from the USSR and were used to fighting in the Korean terrain.
