Description:

Congressman Preston Brooks, pro-slavery, attacked Senator Charles Sumner, abolitionist, with a cane. This attack happened after Sumner gave a speech saying that pro-slavery started the violence in Kansas. This attack got a lot of people talking since our government can't even get along either.
