Description:
The Lecompton Constitution was created to say that Kansas was a freed state. President James Buchanan pushed it through congress to be passed, but it got opposed and sent to the Kansas voters. They voted to be a freed state. The south did not like this, since they wanted to have slaves in Kansas too. This only started more conflict bewteen the two sides.
