nov 22, 1963 - JFK Assassination

Description:

The JFK Assassination was truly a hard and upsetting thing for the American people to face in a time of confusion and need of leadership. Lee Harvey Oswald was deemed the assassin, however, before he could be questioned properly he was shot by Jack Ruby, who was emotional after the assassination of the president and seeking vengeance. It happened in Dallas, Texas, where the Kennedy's were to campaign for the upcoming election. Although the cause of this event is really unknown, one of them could be the face that Mr. Kennedy fully supported the civil rights movement, and the majority of the people in the South did not support this movement. A major effect, although it may sound morbid, is that with the death of John F. Kennedy, President Johnson was able to pass more civil rights acts because he said that he was doing it in Kennedy's name.
