Description:

John Buchanan, Democrat, beat John C. Frémont, Republican, and American Party Millard Fillmore. The south was really pushing for Millard Fillmore to win because they wouldn't have to worry about any new laws or giving up their slaves. When John Buchanan won the south did not like this idea. They might have new things that will change how they are.
