nov 1, 1938 - November 9 1938 -A series of violent incidents known as Kristallnacht occurred. -Over 7000 Jewish shops were smashed throughout Germany coupled with the mass burning of synagogues. -Up to 40000 Jews were rounded up and and sent to concentration camps -These events were retaliation for the shooting of a German official in the Paris embassy by a Jew.
