Olympio (second time before UN) made a number of comments on the observations of the Visiting Mission. He tried to discount the opposition to Ewe unification voiced in some parts of Togoland. The AEC "was not asking for a separate Ewe State, but would willingly agree to the Ewe people becoming part of a larger group, once their territories had been unified."
