Description:

Proved there was a link between cholera and the water supply - cholera was a water borne disease.
Calculated the correct dosages for ether and chloroform in his book "On Chloroform and Other Anaesthetics" 1858. Snow also helped Queen Victoria give birth to Prince Leopold by convincing Albert that the anaesthetic was safe.
