Description:

Professor of Chemistry who worked for a drinks company trying to discover why drinks like wine went sour.
He discovered germs, at the time many people believed in spontaneous generation but germ theory disproved this.
He investigated the causes and prevention of germs and suggested handwashing and pasteurisation.
After his initial discovery he found vaccines for Cholera and Anthrax and in 1864 people began to accept his theory.
