Description:

For the first time, Stark takes his Mark II armor for a test flight around Malibu, fully donning the complete armor and ignoring JARVIS's advice to wait to fly the armor.

However, while trying to break the record altitude of an SR-71 Blackbird, Stark doesn't take into account the icing and encounters a nearly fatal buildup of ice around the suit, though he manages to save himself at the last minute through deploying his flaps.

When he finishes his flight, he attempts to land on the roof of his mansion, though he doesn't take into account the weight of his suit. When he kills the power to the suit, he crashes through the ceiling all the way through to his garage, destroying a piano and one of his cars in the process. DUM-E douses him in flame extinguisher.

Sometime later, after having gotten out of his suit and grabbed an ice pack for his head, Stark finds the wrapped gift Potts brought him the month before, still sitting where he left it, and opens it to find his first miniaturized arc reactor, framed in a casing that says "Proof that Tony Stark has a heart."
