Description: This was the treaty that ended the war of 1812. Both sides agreed to agreed to return prisoners and restore previous territorial boundaries. In addition, the British agreed to stop organizing Native-American attacks against Americans.

Significance: This treaty was obviously significant because it ended the first major war the United States was involved in as an independent nation. Although neither side really won, the war showed that Americans had the strength, resolve, and resilience to stand their ground on an international scale. This treaty was a major contribution to the social enviornment of the United States as it further created strong sense of unity and national identity.
