The Paleo Diet was introduced in 1970 by gastroenterologist, Walter Voegtlin. The Paleo Diet is the focus of consuming foods such as fish, lean meats, non-starchy vegetables, and fruits, but excluding foods such as starchy-vegetables, dairy, grains and processed foods. This diet has a similar effect to the Atkins Diet, and there might be a nutrient deficiency due to the lack of whole grains and dairy products.
