jan 5, 1924 - Dawes Plan
Description:
After WWI, Germany was forced to pay reparations, which the country couldn't afford to do. Dawe's plan is named after the banker that came up with it, Charles Dawe. This plan was to give the Ruhr area back to German authority and to remove French and Belgium troops from there to help Germany pay these reparations back. To further help Germany, the US lent the country a loan to help their economy. Along with this loan, there were alliance bankers to help German banks. Dawe's plan worked for awhile until Germany was still unable to pay.
