Warren L. Dalziel, was one of the inventors that helped create the floppy disc. They wanted the disc to be able to load instructions, and install software updates inside mainframe computers. First designs of the discs were 8 inches and soon were coated with a slim envelope to keep from getting dirty. The orginal prices on the floppy discs were around $80.Added to timeline:
