The French officially surrender to Nazi Germany, who now occupies them and their capital. This brings heavy resistance from the British, while also now setting off Roosevelt and the U.S. congress even more. Before heavily reluctant to get involved, now the U.S. is sending more equipment to the Allies. Now that a major ally who was a considerable power is lost, the U.S. steps up their support now being on the brink of war with Naval Patrols circulating around the Atlantic.
