Johannes Gutenberg invents the first printing press. He began experimenting with printing in 1440, but didn't have a product that could be sold to print commercially until 1450. The press had metal block letters that created perfect lines of text to print much faster. This invention changed the world because ideas could be spread to more people at a faster rate.
