After the 13 month revolution, it had finally ended. There was the toppling of the absolute monarchy and was replaced by the Islamic Republic which was made up of a majority of clergy and founded a religious government that put Khomeini as the head "rahbar" or leader. His ideals of having a religon based government and removing Western influence was made taught in public schools in the country.
