jan 1, 440 BC - Polus
Description:
Polus was a pupil of the famous orator Gorgias, and teacher of oratory from the city of Acragas, Sicily.
Not much is known about him, but he is a character that appears in Plato's dialogues. In the Gorgias Dialogue, he is represented as someone impulsive and immature, but it is known that he has already written a book, so it can be inferred that he is an adult and with sufficient knowledge about rhetoric.
