Description:
The Women's March on Versailles was one of the earliest and most significant events of the French Revolution. The mostly female crowd marched to the palace with weapons and demanded the queen's head. Maire barely escaping with her life through one of the places secret tunnels.
This showed that the citizens of France now had a lot of power and are able to accomplish greater acts of defiance against the monarchy.
