Description:
The representatives of the French people, organized as a national assembly wrote a declaration to help improve the lives of the ordinary citizen. The declaration echoed many ideas of the philosophes. It states that the rights of man are liberty, property, security, and resistance to oppression.
This would have drastically improved the lives of many peasants throughout France.
