Description:

When people in Paris and surrounding area started to hear about the third estates defiance and success mobs start to protest the high bread prices, low wages, and high unemployment. The King sends his militia to Paris to maintain order, in response commoners turned to the Bastille to demand the governor give them the ammunition stored in the building. The governor refused which caused the mob to attack the Bastille and take it over, the governor was seized and his head was placed on a spike and paraded around the city. This event gave commoners the courage to rise up against the nobles and showed that France would turn violent to get what they wanted.
