jun 15, 1767 - Title: Townshend Acts Date: June 15 - July 2, 1767 The British passed these to gain more authority to tax colonists the same way the citizens of Britain was taxed (placed taxes on all goods). Colonists reacted by reviving an agreement to not import anything from Britain.
