most of the [Togoland Union] party followed Antor's reasoning that closer association threatened the distinct status of the territory ~nd rendered the prospects for union with French Togoland e~en more problematic. In November 1950, Antor convened a meeting at Borada, which was attended by a number of chiefs ( under the banner of the Natural Rulers), the TU and the Togoland National Farmers Union (TNFU). This meeting heralded the beginning of the Togoland Congress
