The meeting on Monday, August 26, 2019 in the meeting room of the office of the Minister of Territorial Administration (Minat) between Paul Atanga Nji and CEOs of some mobile phone companies took place in a closed session. However, CT has learned that during the meeting the Minat spoke with Frédéric Debord and Hendrik Kasteel respectively CEOs of Orange-Cameroon andMtn-CameroonThe security situation in some regions. These include those of the Northwest, the Southwest, the Far North, Adamawa and East. Clearly, they were thinking about securing some transactions so that criminals do not use certain facilities put in place by these operators to commit racketeering and banditry.

The Minister of Territorial Administration recalled the government requirements for the systematic identification of mobile phone subscribers, as Paul Atanga Nji, it is now more than ever that communication tools are used in the development of Cameroon, instead of promote criminal actions that may undermine the integrity of the territory. Also present at the consultation, the Director General of the National Agency for information and communications technology (Antic) Ebot Ebot Enaw and Secretary General of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Mohamadou Saudi.
