Adam Osborne was the designer and programmer of the first ever laptop, which he called the "Osborne I". The Osborne I was a fully-functioning, portable computer that came in a plastic case. Its original purpose was to lower the costs of computers, making them more accessible to people outside of the tech industry. It ended up inspiring all future portable digital computers, just like the one I'm writing on right now.
