jan 1, 1854 - St. Thomas', Camden
Description:
• We love our door, which says, “Come in. Our church is OPEN.”
We love this because our sanctuary is open daily for anyone who travels through or lives here to come in, rest, pray, relax. It’s important to us that our church is open to all, and that there is at least one place in town where people can sit in the presence of God and be at peace.
• The Christmas Fair. This is a tradition that has gone on for decades. It’s a wonderful way to build camaraderie within our church and with our community. Portions of the proceeds from the Fair go to our Outreach efforts in the greater Midcoast area.
We love to worship at St. Thomas’. It serves as our primary communion with God in our lives. Outreach is our next joy. We support many projects, pantry’s and people in our area, and have newly committed this year to raising more monetary, tangible and pastoral support for people in our area through allocated funding, support of the food pantry and Loaves and Fishes, and an additional worship opportunity during the week for the outcast, the lonely, the addicted and those who find Sunday’s impossible.
We think we sum it up well by saying:
We worship in beauty
question in faith
and serve in love
