Description:

Mission Statement: We the people of St. John’s Episcopal Church gather to worship God, hear God’s word, serve and proclaim Christ through fellowship, outreach and education in our community, the world and creation.

In 2019 St. John’s will turn 150 years old…our first service was held in1869.
Built in 1875, it is the oldest standing church in Presque Isle.
Since 1988 we have been a part of the Aroostook Episcopal Cluster along with Episcopal churches in Mars Hill, Caribou, Fort Fairfield and Limestone. During these 30 years the Cluster members have worked well together sharing not only clergy but also worship and events.
Our parish is welcoming and provides a sense of family to our members.
We support a ministry to seniors at our assisted living home by providing the Eucharist and Bible Study to all who are interested.
We support our local homeless shelter.
We are one of four local congregations who founded and support Grace Interfaith Food Table (GIFT), a local food pantry.
