jan 1, 100 BC - Analog Computer
Description:
The first analog computer was invented in Greece and called the Antikythera mechanism. It was discovered in 1901 and was supposedly used to predict the location of objects in space decades in advance.
In my opinion, if the fall of the Greek civilization had not come so early, the Greeks would have come very close to reaching astronomical discoveries we might not have made today. Aside from that, I believe that it introduced a new concept for computer design and it introduced the concept of code.
