Description:
The PlayStation was the first console to use Blu-ray discs as a storage medium. This allowed games to be held on one disc rather than maybe 3 like the Xbox 360. Additionally, the PlayStation 3 was the first PlayStation to integrate social services and online capabilities using the PlayStation Network. Another quirk of the PlayStation 3 was the use of PlayStation Portable (PSP) amd the PlayStation Vita. The console allowed players to use these devices as a controller by connecting them to the PlayStation 3, almost like a remote control for a TV.Furthermore, the PlayStation 3 had something similar to the Wii controllers, known as the Move. The Move was released in 2010 and allowed players to move their arms around with 2 controllers, one in each hand. The Move aimed to let players play games that relied heavily on player movement, similar to the Kinect.
