Pacman has always been popular and well known, and is known to be one of the most praised games of all time. Even in the modern day Pacman is still loved amongst gamers, and is still being released. Pacman was an arcade game that used full colour, unlike Space Invaders that used coloured tape to cover the screen. Additionally, Pacman used a variety of levels instead of just restarting the game, which was quite new at the time. The game was so well recieved that merchandise was released constantly, everyone wanted a piece of Pacman, and some wanted the profit and tried to get that by creating knockoffs.
