Description:
On the night of March 2, a rebel detachment of 20 people led by former policeman Sergei Petrenko and Ivan Kondakov launched an offensive against the village of Muromtsevo . The Communists in a panic fled from the district center for 25 miles, although the rebels did not reach Muromtsev, bewildered by rumors about the arrival of a strong armed detachment intended to fight the rebels.
