Description:

Turning point battle in Europe during the war. Germany had set out for the city of Stalingrad, but did not realize the weather conditions of the time. The struggle for Stalingrad was fearsome. German troops had advanced slowly fighting bitter block by block , house by house. Soviet troops had attacked, trapping the German troops. Germany troops had suffered from starvation, sickness, and frostbite. The remaining fighters surrendered January 31, 1943.
