In 1742 Ben Franklin invented the Franklin stove. This was actually a metal-lined fireplace which due to some factors did not sell well. Years later in 1780, David Rittenhouse fixed those problems and the stove became popular. The stove is used to cook food very easily and every household today has one.Added to timeline:
