Description:

Treaty Three of the Numbered Treaties. Signed by the Saulteaux people of the Ojibwa, and the Government, this is also known as the Northwest Angle Treaty. The Government provided an initial payment of $12, yearly payments of $5, and funds to purchase supplies or tools. In exchange, the government recieved all the rights to the Saulteaux lands, although the Saulteaux people were permitted to hunting, fishing, resource extraction, and one or two more things.
