Description:

Treaty One of the Numbered Treaties. Signed between the Government, and the Anishinabe as well as the Swampy Cree in southern Manitoba, the First Nations bands were forced to cede their land, in exchange for 160 acres of land per family, and a 3 dollar payment per person. In addition, a school was built on the reserve.
