may 2, 1933 - Trade Unions Banned
Description:
Using his new powers, Hitler banned all trade unions in Germany. This meant that the trade unions and workers (often left-wing) couldn't protest, strike or really have any say in politics.
This was a part of his voter suppression technique.
As part of his new powers, he had control of local councils and governments and the police - forming the gestapo and a concentration camp for political prisoners in Dachau
