Description:

The Americans crossed the Niagra River and went North. The Britsh went from Fort George to meet them. The two armies collided and prepared for battle. The fight went for hours in pure darkness. Major General Phineas Riall wounded and captured by the Americans. Both Sides of the battle claimed victory, but it was unclear as they were both exhausted. The Americans made base at Fort Erie. In August 1814 the British attacked the Americans at Fort Erie. More than 900 soldiers were wounded, killed, or went missing.
