mar 12, 129 - Creation of the Edictum Perpetuum
Description:
The Perpetual Edict ended the use of the Praetor's Edict as a source of law. Under Emperor Hadrian, jurist Salvius Julianus revised and consolidated the Praetor's Edict of the time as well as other edicts to create the Perpetual Edict. The document required the emperor's approval to modify, thus it limited the power of the Praetor and upheld the status quo.
